It’s easy to rush ahead, and even fall behind when it comes to following God. However, Isaiah 40:31 tells us how important it is to wait upon the Lord. That means stopping what we are doing, being still, and letting Him speak to us. It promotes dialogue, where we share how we feel, and listen to what He has to say to us.
This verse is filled with His promises. As we wait upon Him, we will gain new strength. So, even in our exhaustion, we can come to Him for rest, be nourished by His Word, and be empowered by His presence. He knows our frame, and He knows how to comfort us in our troubles, and renew us whenever we feel depleted.
Our God never grows tired or weary, for He is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He sees everything and everyone, and no one is disregarded by Him. His magnificence is stunning, He is beautiful beyond description and too marvelous for words. What a wonderful God we serve. To Him be all the glory!
Amen.
I identify with this. I was so tired at work yesterday I thought I would pass out. But Jesus got me through. Thank you for your good prayers.
