Only fools say in their hearts, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, and their actions are evil; not one of them does good! (Psalm 14:1)
It is interesting how the Bible describes a fool. A fool announces his own folly; does not avoid evil; despises his father’s instruction; builds his house on the sand; their hearts are bent on evil; they practice ungodliness and spread error concerning the Lord; the hungry they leave empty and from the thirsty they withhold water; they lack sense, and they show how stupid they are; they are put in many high positions; and the list goes on…
Prayer:
Heavenly Father,
The study of your Word can help us to avoid the ways of the fool. May we be mindful of the many pitfalls of a foolish person. If we have sinned in this area, then speak to us about our deceptive ways. Let your kindness, your generosity, and your gracious words bring us back home. For your love makes all the difference. Amen.
