Show Us Your Love

Lord, show us thy love. Make us with all the saints to know the love that passeth knowledge. Lord, show us in Thine own blessed life what it is to abide in Thy love. And the sight shall so win us, that it will be impossible for us one single hour to seek any other life than the life of abiding in Thy love. (Andrew Murray)

The love of God goes beyond our comprehension. With our minds, we may seek to recognize it, but only with our hearts, can we fully comprehend it. This love is beyond any love that a human being can ever imagine. It starts with the Father, is expressed through His Son, and bears witness by the Holy Spirit.

This love comes from Jesus of Nazareth. Anyone who acknowledges Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God, can experience this kind of love, for this love comes from the Father, and is expressed through His Son. Therefore, if anyone receives the Son, they also receive the Father’s love. For it is the Father’s delight to make His love known to everyone who receives Jesus.

Heavenly Father,

We are sorry for refusing your love. Your love is so simple that even a child can understand it. It’s not complicated, and its never difficult to receive. It only requires that we ask you, and for us to believe that you want to show us your love. So, we simply ask you to show us your love. Thank you, Father. Amen.
