A Sincere Apology

March 15, 2018 By Lifestyle Prayers 2 Comments

“Sincere apologies are the best way to reckon any relationship.” (Lisa Cosier)

When you have offended someone its best to be upfront and to offer a sincere apology, especially if you have grieved someone close to you. Take responsibility for being the first to admit your fault, and be willing to forgive the other person, so that your relationship can be restored.

Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. (Colossians 3:13)

Prayer:

Lord Jesus,

Help me in those moments when I need to offer a sincere apology. As I am speaking with the person I have offended, remind me of what to say. Let it come straight from my heart, and allow it to be expressed in a genuine and caring way. May it be received with an open heart, and may your reconciliation come to mend our broken ways. Thank you, Jesus!

So true and so needes in our society today. It seems people are so much more easily offended these days. Or is it that people are more abbrasive? Or am i just more keenly aware? I’m not sure which. What do you think
