Caregivers are very considerate individuals who deserve to be commended for their efforts. Their tender hearts reveal their compassion for those who are distressed, lonely, sick, or just in need of a friend. Much of their time goes into caring for people who may feel unloved, forgotten, neglected, or just seen as a burden by our society.
For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many. (Matthew 20:28)
When I think of caregivers, I think of Jesus of Nazareth, who never thought of Himself, but was always concerned about the needs of others. He served others to the point of exhaustion and was replenished by praying to His Father. Jesus truly demonstrated what it means to serve and to give His life as a ransom for His friends.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus,
Pour out your generosity into the lives of caregivers. Give them your strength to care for others, your rest to fully recover, your peace to remove any anxiety, and your tremendous love to overflow within their hearts.
Help them to create space for spending time with you, so that you can minister into the depth of their souls, and bring your refreshment wherever it is needed.
Increase their bounty, so that they can have an abundance of everything they need, and provide them with your wisdom and understanding in any areas where they may need your guidance.
Let their faithful acts of service be remembered by many generations and richly rewarded in heaven. Amen.
beautiful, thank you.
Amen and amen!!
Thank you for the prayer. As caregiver to my husband I know sometimes we only get from day to day on a prayer.
Amen. Thank you for your comment.
