Over the past year, I have heard about the loss of many loved ones. So, I thought I would take a moment to express my sincere condolences to you.
If you have lost a loved one, then you are probably aware of your grief, your pain, and maybe you even feel relieved?
Both of my own parents passed away in 2018. My dad spent his remaining months in a hospital suffering from Alzheimer’s, while my Mom died 8 months after him when she had fallen in her own home, only to pass away 5 days later in the same hospital.
It has been a relief for me to see both of them go to be with Jesus, for He has replaced their sorrow with His pure joy, and He offers me, and my family, His comfort until we see them again.
How about you? Could you tell me about your loss?
Help us to process our loss with you, our friends, and our family. Give us your confidence that you will provide us with what we need: comfort for our sorrow, peace for our anxiety, and perfect love to cast out all fear. If we need anything else, then may we simply ask you, because you know how to take good care of us. Thank you, Lord Jesus. Amen.
