Let’s be honest with each other. We either love or hate doing laundry. For those who would rather avoid this subject, don’t worry, I will design a post at another time, with you specifically in mind.
As for the rest of us, let’s talk laundry. So, what do you love about doing laundry?
I live in an apartment building, so I enjoy going downstairs to do our wash in the communal laundry room. I bring some paper towel and some vinegar to clean out the old detergent that people leave behind in the washer. Some people like using the detergent with a high fragrance content which leaves a sticky residue behind. So, I go about my business to clean out anything that might leave a strong smell on our clothes.
Using the dryer is not as taxing, even though some tenants don’t clean out the filter, which consists of lint, and the occasional hair barrette. Currently, I am using the delicate cycle more often to dry our clothes, even though it takes longer, it leaves our clothes looking newer, for a longer period of time.
Once the clothes are dry, I bring them upstairs where my wife takes over to fold the laundry and to put it away.
Doing laundry as a couple is a necessity, but it is also a real delight since we can put on fresh, clean clothes that have no soap residue, along with no strong smell, and that’s the way we like it.
So, tell us your story about what you love about doing laundry?
Prayer:
Thank you, Lord Jesus, that we can have fun doing laundry, and we can share our laundry experiences with each other. Amen.
