Sometimes its difficult to admit when you are in pain. Your past may tell you to keep it a secret, so that you don’t get hurt again. So, that is what you do in order to survive.
Hiding your pain may make some sense to you, especially when you feel unsafe, but it can also make you feel trapped, looking for a way out.
Pain can rob you of energy, steal your joy, and make you feel like giving up. It can become a well-worn path that leads to nowhere, and it may already be familiar territory to you.
Sometimes acknowledging your pain can be helpful to yourself, but it doesn’t make it go away, and what really changes in the process?
That’s where Jesus of Nazareth can help you. He understands your pain, and He wants to comfort you. Taking refuge in Jesus allows you to breathe easier, find a safe place to rest, and share your burdens with Him.
So, today, if you find yourself caught up in the endless cycle of your pain, and you seem to be going nowhere, then give Jesus of Nazareth an opportunity to help you.
Ask Him to make His presence known to you, so that you can experience His love. His presence will bring you peace, secure you with His comfort, and reassure you that you don’t have to do this alone.
As you spend time with Him, you will be encouraged. Your heart will begin to sing, and your spirit will soar, and He will lead you into freedom, as you choose to trust in Him.
How do I know this?
Answer: I have turned to Him in my pain to receive His comfort, to share my burdens, and to rest in His amazing love. His presence has given me hope, brought me reassurance, and strengthen me in the midst of my weaknesses.
So, I have learned to trust Him and to share my thoughts and feelings with Him, because He genuinely cares for me, and this truth is changing my life.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus,
May we come to you to seek your refuge whenever we find ourselves in pain. Give us the opportunity to seek you, so that we may find you, and may we be refreshed by spending time with you. Amen.
