It’s not uncommon to fail your driving test, even the first time.
When I took my driving test, I also failed the first time. Why? Because I used my Dad’s vehicle which was too big to maneuver and I had a difficult time trying to parallel park. I felt nervous during this time, and I felt bad afterward for choosing a vehicle that was not right for me.
However, when I took my driving test the second time, I used my Mom’s vehicle, which was a small compact car. I had no problem parallel parking, and things went very smoothly during the road test. I came back feeling very happy about passing the test and choosing the right vehicle for my needs.
Why did you fail your driving test?
It’s a good idea to look back and think about why you failed your driving test. For me, I used the wrong vehicle. I could have taken more time to think about what type of vehicle would have made me feel more comfortable behind the wheel, especially on the day of my driving test.
Have you considered taking a driver training course?
I actually took a driver training course in high school. I found the instructor very helpful in showing me how to parallel park, change lanes safely, and how to keep a safe distance between vehicles on the highway. For me, taking the driver training course was well worth my time and effort.
So, if you have failed your driving test don’t give up. Learn from your mistakes, be kind to yourself, and ask Jesus to help you to become a better driver. For, in your weakness, He is always your strength!
In a previous post, I have provided a prayer to help people to prepare for their driving test, and I have been blessed by reading and responding to their requests for prayer: See “Do You Want To Pass Your Driving Test?”.
