Our dog, Hannah, has been struggling with a virus this past week. She has lost weight, not been eating or drinking much, and she is now on two antibiotics from our veterinarian. Her breathing is shallow, and she just looks sad on the inside.

If you have a pet, then you know what it feels like when they become sick. Their sudden illness can take you by surprise and it can leave you feeling worried and upset about their future.

Today, I would like to pray for you and your pet.

Prayer:

Lord Jesus,

Please give each pet owner your wisdom and understanding so that they can care for their pet. I pray for your encouragement, strength, and your renewed hope in the midst of these challenging circumstances. Let each pet, and pet owner, feel your unconditional love and acceptance. Help them to experience your comfort, peace, and continued rest. Bring in the necessary resources, so that the appropriate food, drink, and medicine can be administered when needed.

Thank you for the bond you have created between each pet and their owner. May the love shared, and the joy expressed, continue to be remembered throughout their lifetimes. Amen.
