We Want You To Get Well

If you are feeling sick today, I pray for your comfort and your speedy recovery.

It’s not nice to feel sick, especially for a prolonged period of time. So, may God give you the stamina to persevere, the insight to know what to do, and the healing for a full recovery. Let His presence renew you in strength, His love reassure you with hope, and His peace remove any form of worry.

You are His beloved child, and He is your Great Physician. So, listen for His words of comfort, as He speaks with you, and let Him take care of you, as you rest, sleep, and do your best to feel better. Amen.

Get Well Soon!

If you are feeling sick today, it is our desire that you get well soon.

May the Lord’s peace and quiet remove your pain and heal your sickness, allowing your soul to be refreshed with rest, your mind with sleep, and your body with comfort. May your recovery come quickly, as you abide with Jesus, and find your strength in Him. Amen.

Sick Pet Prayer

Our dog, Hannah, has been struggling with a virus this past week. She has lost weight, not been eating or drinking much, and she is now on two antibiotics from our veterinarian. Her breathing is shallow, and she just looks sad on the inside.

If you have a pet, then you know what it feels like when they become sick. Their sudden illness can take you by surprise and it can leave you feeling worried and upset about their future.

Today, I would like to pray for you and your pet.

Prayer:

Lord Jesus,

Please give each pet owner your wisdom and understanding so that they can care for their pet. I pray for your encouragement, strength, and your renewed hope in the midst of these challenging circumstances. Let each pet, and pet owner, feel your unconditional love and acceptance. Help them to experience your comfort, peace, and continued rest. Bring in the necessary resources, so that the appropriate food, drink, and medicine can be administered when needed.

Thank you for the bond you have created between each pet and their owner. May the love shared, and the joy expressed, continue to be remembered throughout their lifetimes. Amen.

For People Who Are Feeling Sick

Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress. He sent out his word and healed them; He rescued them from the grave. Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind. (Psalm 107:19-21)

If you are feeling sick today, then please pray this prayer with me:

Prayer: 

Heavenly Father,

I am not feeling well. I come to you as I am, and I ask for your help.

For my body, I ask for rest in order to help me to feel better. Please remove any stress from me, and help me to relax and get the proper sleep. Where I need to eat better, help me to make wise food choices. If I am doing too much, help me to slow down. Where I need to be more proactive, help me to take the initiative to do what is right.

For my mind, help me to stop worrying about things, and to start taking every unwholesome thought captive to you. Transform my mind by the renewing of your Spirit, and help me to think about what is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, or if anything is excellent or praiseworthy. May I learn from you, so that the God of peace will be with me (Philippians 4:8-9).

May my spirit be led by the Holy Spirit to oversee the healing of my mind and my body. May I be comforted, encouraged, strengthened, corrected, and aligned to your will and purposes. Where anything is crooked make it straight, where I have sinned draw me to repentance, and allow me to come into complete rest and alignment with you.

Thank you for hearing and answering my prayer. You are a great listener, and I love you very much.  You really do care for me, and I am so grateful to be called your child. Amen.

Prayer For Illness

Heavenly Father,

I pray for those who are dealing with illness.

May they find comfort from the Holy Spirit who knows how to help, provide relief, and cheer up those who are struggling with illness.

May they find strength from the Lord Jesus who enables them to do all things through Him, and who has compassion on everyone who faces disease.

May they hold onto their Father who rejoices over them with singing, and who did not spare even His own Son to show us His love.

In the midst of their illness may they meditate upon your Word to find comfort, strength, and encouragement:

Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits—who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion. (Psalm 103:2-4)

Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. (James 5:14-15)

Surely He took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds, we are healed. (Isaiah 53:4-5)

Know that the LORD is with you. He will strengthen you and help you; He will uphold you with His righteous right hand (Isaiah 41:10). May you pay attention to your Father. Turn your ear to His words. Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart; for they are life to those who find them and health to one’s whole body (Proverbs 4:20-22).

Your Father loves you, and He has compassion on everyone who turns to His Son, Jesus, for their salvation. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father, but through Him. Receive His love and receive His salvation. Amen.
